Hollow Thoughts

Why did you do this to me?
Hanging me on the corner of the street,
I feel vulnerable to my own thoughts,
“why did you leave?”
I know why you did,
but I am not courageous enough to accept;
But there is a hollowness to be filled.
Who is going to be there to push me,
to nag me,
to tell me that I am not alone.

Why did you do this to me?
leaving me alone,
to figure out everything on my own.

  1. Life is so funny πŸ˜‚. If the person meant so much to you, he/she would’ve left you only when they were sure enough that you already have a replacement for then to help you out with. People who cared so much don’t mess around and never actually leave you alone. Great writing! Just look around for that void, you’ll realise it isn’t a void afterall!

  2. I remember being at this place in life and standing here, looking back at that sad girl, this poem captured exactly how I was feeling- emotions I found hard to explain then. Lovely post! πŸ™‚

  3. Absolutely agree with you madam, this is exactly the kind of people you run away from. But the best part is when you try to figure things out with them, talk to them about your loneliness and see the difference! You never ever leave them again…. Great words madam!

  4. People tell you that you need to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with another.. . That’s bullshit. You were happy with yourself, still are! That was never the problem! You just miss sharing lifes little moments with someone you love, and you want that feeling back. We all do.
